The Mercedes-Benz GL-Class is the auto maker's large seven passenger SUV and is meant to provide all the luxury and capacity demanded by the American market.
The GL-Class is offered with three different engine choices: a 210-hp 3.0-liter diesel V6 in the GL350 BlueTEC, a 335-hp 4.6-liter V8 in the GL450 and a 382-hp 5.5-liter V8 in the GL550. All engines are bolted to a 7-speed automatic transmission and full-time four-wheel drive system. Standard safety features include anti-lock brakes w/Brake Assist, traction control, stability control w/roll control, eight airbags, Tele Aid SOS system, PRE-SAFE, trailer stabilization control and a security system, to name a few.
For 2010, the GL320 BlueTEC has been renamed GL350 BlueTEC, and all models have refreshed styling including LED rear lights, new front and rear bumpers, new wheel designs and optional LED daytime running lights.
