The A4 is Audi's spirited and versatile mainstay, offering a combination of style and substance that keeps it highly competitive within its class. It is available in sedan, wagon (Avant) and Cabriolet body styles, with a choice between Audi's legendary quattro all-wheel drive system and FrontTrak front-wheel drive on sedans and Cabriolets.
The next-generation A4 Sedan and Avant are slated to receive more powerful engines for 2009. Cabriolet 2.0T trims continue to be outfitted with a 200-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, while 3.2 trims get a 255-hp 3.2-liter V6; both engines feature FSI direct fuel injection. Available transmissions include a six-speed manual, six-speed automatic with Tiptronic and a seven-speed Multitronic CVT. Standard safety features on all A4 trims include electronic stability and traction control systems, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, front side-impact airbags and a tire pressure monitor.
For 2009, the Audi A4 Sedan and Avant have been completely redesigned. Cabriolet models remain on the previous generation platform, but get a visual upgrade in the form of a standard S Line exterior package, including revised bumpers, grille and integrated trunklid spoiler. Additionally, new standard equipment on Cabriolet models includes Bluetooth wireless connectivity, satellite radio and upgraded alloy wheels.
Intelligence on the Upcoming Audi A4 Models Following an extensive redesign last model year, the Audi A4 carries over with minimal changes for 2010. A new Driver Assist package, including blind spot sensor and rear backup camera, is available for quattro models. Additionally, the Cabriolet body style has been discontinued.
Resale Value for the 2009 Audi A4
When considering the purchase of a new vehicle, it's important to keep in mind what the eventual resale value will be. It is expected that the 2009 Audi A4 will have a very good resale value. This assumes that after 3 to of 5 years of ownership the vehicle will be in good condition. Other factors include the optional equipment you choose and the total mileage on your vehicle.
