Changes in the Chevrolet Cars Line-Up

For 2008, Chevrolet has launched a completely redesigned Malibu as a 2008 model, and is available in the following trims: LS, LT, LTZ and a newly developed "mild hybrid". Early appraisals from the leading auto publications suggest that the new Malibu is a success, finally bringing Chevrolet on par with their Japanese rivals. The larger 2008 Impala receives only minor changes, namely to the suspension on the LTZ version. The new 2008 HHR SS developed by the GM Performance Division promises to raise eyebrows, most notably with it's power. A new 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine produces 260 horsepower and also features an upgraded sport-tuned suspension along with a more aggressive looks in the form of front and rear bumpers. For the car shopper who seeks the most excitement, the new 2008 Chevrolet Corvette will easily fill that need. The 2008 Corvette features a larger, 6.2 liter V8 that produces a whopping 430 horsepower--30 more than the 2007 Corvette.

For 2008, Chevrolet has also released the Traverse, a crossover utility vehicle which combines the smooth ride and responsive handling of a car with the cargo capability and high seating position of a traditional truck-based sport utility vehicle.
