For 2009, the Accord will receive minor updates in the form of fascias and interior trim while boasting more safety features, more spacious rear seating for the sedan, and a more powerful engine. The Civic adds an EX-L trim, available with optional navigation system, and standard tire pressure monitoring on all trims. Also, Honda introduces the Si Mugen sedan, which is a joint venture by Honda and Mugen Motorsports. The Odyssey gets a refresh with an updated engine and revised grille. The S2000 will likely have it's final run for 2009, with no plans for a successor due in part to the current economic climate.

Honda tends to not participate in cash-back rebates because of the negative impact on resale values, as seen with the domestics. Therefore, Honda's incentives take the form of lease deals and lowered APRs, which are both very competitive with the industry overall.

Honda has consistently produced some of the most well-built vehicles over the course of its history. Emissions are at the forefront of its mission to vehicles that are not only efficient and safe, but fun to drive as well. With vehicles like the CR-Z arriving on U.S. soil in 2010, loyal followers of the brand will be pleased with Honda's continual pursuit to provide vehicles that fit its well-established pedigree.
