Changes in the Pontiac Cars Line-Up

In 2007, the Pontiac lineup offers a G5 that is mechanically similar to the Chevrolet Cobalt. The G5 Base gets a 148 hp 2.2 liter Ecotec engine, while the GT has a sport-tuned suspension and a 173 hp 2.4 liter engine with variable valve timing. The G6 now gets side curtain airbags standard on all Coupe and Sedan models. A new 3.6 liter V6 engine with variable valve timing is standard on the GTP coupe and sedan, and a handful of new paint choices are available. The GTO has been discontinued and will not return in 2007. The new Solstice GXP model gets powered by a 260 horsepower two-liter engine with direct fuel injection, variable valve timing and a turbocharger. The GXP also gets sportier suspension tuning, StabiliTrak, and styling enhancements.

The Pontiac warranty on all their 2007 vehicles now covers the powertrain (engine, transmission, and parts that deliver power to the wheels), roadside assistance, and courtesy transportation during warranty repairs for 5 years or 100,000 miles (160,000 km).
