Saturn VUE Hybrid - Mid-Size SUV

For 2007, the new Aura mid-size sedan fills the vacancy left since the L-series was discontinued. The Aura is available in two models: Aura XE, with a 224 horsepower V6 and 4-speed automatic, and Aura XR, with a 252 hp V6 and 6-speed automatic. A gas-electric hybrid version called the Aura Green Line will debut later in the year. The Ion's 2.2 and 2.4 liter engines both get a slight bump in power output. The Sky, Saturn's new two-seat rear-wheel-drive roadster, shares its mechanical bits with the Pontiac Solstice, but gets its own sheet metal and unique styling.

The Saturn warranty on all their 2007 vehicles now covers the powertrain (engine, transmission, and parts that deliver power to the wheels), roadside assistance, and courtesy transportation during warranty repairs for 5 years or 100,000 miles (160,000 km).

A couple of years ago, as Saturn’s sales nose-dived, there was speculation that GM would kill off its youngest division. However, recently Saturn execs have been working closely with one of GM's European brands, Opel, and the two divisions will share platforms for many models going forward, starting with the Saturn Sky. GM has also announced the best warranty of any full-line automaker, with coverage up to 100,000 miles or five years across its entire 2007 car and light-duty truck lineup in the United States and Canada, reflecting its success in dramatically improving the quality and durability of its vehicles. With these new developments in the Saturn label, the company hopes to establish itself in the competitive car market.
