Subaru Cars

Subaru
Subaru is one of the smaller Japanese automakers and is known for making safe, performance-oriented, vehicles. Many of their models come equipped with full-time all-wheel drive and horizontally-opposed engines, which tend to offer better stability and control and are safer in collisions. Because of their rugged nature and generous capacity for cargo, Subarus are preferred by outdoor enthusiasts who don’t want to be hindered by terrain.

Changes in the Subaru Cars Line-Up

In 2007, Subaru will produce 800 WRX STI Limited models, 400 in white and 400 in grey. The STI Limited loses the big trunk spoiler and aluminum roof vane spoiler and trades the gold-painted BBS wheels for more subtle Enkei wheels. Inside, the STI Limited has heated leather seats, a sunroof, and other creature comforts. The high-performance Legacy Spec B model gets a 6-speed manual transmission in place of last year's 5-speed, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, and "SI-Drive", a system that lets the driver choose between three performance profiles for the 243 horsepower turbocharged engine.

Subaru tends to offer lease specials and low APR rates to entice people into one of their vehicles. At times, you can even get a 0% APR, which is uncommon for a Japanese manufacturer. 2006 Subaru models are given a warranty of basic coverage 3 years / 36,000 miles and powertrain coverage 5 years / 60,000 miles.

News on Subaru Cars

Subaru’s reputation for safety is reaffirmed by its strong crash-test results. Both the Impreza and Legacy received the Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) "Top Safety Pick Gold," the organization’s highest rating. Also, the Forester was recognized as the best vehicle in its class for protection against whiplash injury in a rear collision. In addition, the B9 Tribeca and Outback received National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) 5-star ratings for frontal and side impact protection, along with 4-star ratings for rollover resistance.
